Kromvojoj 2025

This year, Kromvojoj maps out a complete path: weaving through inland Catalonia towards the peaks of the Pyrenees, and from there, carving out a new descent southward. More than just clocking up kilometres, this route is about crossing landscapes with a soul of their own.

Osona and La Garrotxa. Heading north
We set off from Castellvell del Camp towards two regions known for their rural charm, wooded hills, and quiet, narrow mountain passes. Coll de Bracons and Coll de Canes may not be the longest or the highest, but they set the tone for what lies ahead: a steady challenge on roads that demand full attention. It’s a stretch for tuning in — far from noise and comfort.

The Pyrenees. The Northern edge
The Pyrenees form both the literal and symbolic high point of this route. We tackle some of the most iconic climbs of the range: Coll de la Creueta, Col de Pailhères, Port de Lers, Port de Balès, Col du Tourmalet, and Col du Portalet, to name a few. These are long, tough ascents where weather and altitude can shape the experience. This central block is demanding and defines the spirit of this edition.

Sobrarbe. A new territory
For the first time, the route ventures into Aragón — through the Sobrarbe region of Huesca province. It’s a remote area, sparsely populated but rich in natural beauty. Serrablo, Bárcabo, and Colungo offer quiet secondary roads, uneven terrain, and a sense of solitude that captures the essence of this segment. Lesser known, but deeply rewarding.

Baix Ebre. The return south
The final stretch doesn’t ease up. Mont Caro demands focus and stamina with its long, exposed ascent. Els Ports, stretching across Baix Camp, extend the effort before the scenery shifts completely. The Redux offers a shortcut through the steep, demanding terrain of Priorat. Finally, the Delta de l’Ebre signals the end: flat, open, and in stark contrast to all that came before. From mountains to sea, with no shortcuts.
